LPD Music International Appointed Sole Distributor of Maton Guitars in the U.S.A.
One of the country’s leading distributors, LPD Music International, is proud to announce its appointment as the exclusive U.S. distributor for the high quality, handmade Maton guitar line.
Both Maton Guitars and LPD Music are wholly owned and operated family businesses with a long history in the music industry. Founded by Bill May in 1946, Maton Guitars has been crafting some of the world’s finest handmade guitars in Melbourne Australia for 70 years. “We believe that the boutique nature of the Maton brand requires the focus and expertise that LPD Music International is able to provide” says Maton Director David Steedman.
“We are extremely excited to bring the Maton guitar brand to the U.S. Maton has such a long history of building beautiful instruments, however there has been very limited U.S. availability until now” states Tom Vallis, LPD Vice President.
Maton is the instrument of choice by Tommy Emmanuel, Josh Homme, Colin Hay, Eric Johnson and many other esteemed players. A quick Google search will also show Maton’s in the hands of George Harrison, Keith Richards, and even Elvis Presley.
Founded in 1963 by Harry Bernstein, LPD Music International (formerly known as La Playa Distributing) has been servicing Americas’ top music retailers for over 50 years. Today, the company distributes more than 3,000 products from roughly 150 brands. Brands distributed in the U.S. exclusively by LPD include Paracho Elite Guitars, Danelectro Guitars, Crestwood Guitars, Little Grass Shack Ukuleles, TKO Percussion and City Limits Straps.
